The Eno Trace trail is a very short descriptive trail accessed at the far end of the Cole Mill Road at the loop parking area. Follow the concrete trail near the trailhead to where it turns dirt, and watch for a split to the left. This split will take you on a short interpretive trail that loops back on itself to the parking lot again. Many people take this trail first, and then continue on to the other trails in this area.

At the point where it first hits the Eno river, there is a very short spur trail leading to a memorial bench carved out of a tree trunk – a good place to go very quickly to sit by the river.

There are signs of a Social Trail leading further west and south from the far end of the Eno Trace Trail connecting this trail to Pleasant Green Road. This has been confirmed to take you all the way to Pleasant Green Road, although there are no lasting trails on this route. It is all bushwhack. See the page for COX TO PLEASANT GREEN BUSHWHACK, which is part of my Grand Eno River Backpack Trail.
