The Eno River Association, The NC State Parks and the Friends of the Mountains to Sea Trail are actively working toward fulfilling the dream of constructing a trail from the NC mountains to the Sea.
At points, you are actually on other established trails concurrently and can be confusing. For this reason, because the majority of the Eno Park Laurel Bluffs Trail is also the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, and follows the same route as my Grand Eno River Trail, it is best to go to the Grand Eno River Trail page and follow section 2 from Pleasant Green Road eastward.
The Laurel Bluffs Trail and the MST begins at Pleasant Green Road running east. The Laurel Bluffs Trail ends at Guess Road, and the MST continues past the pages I present to you on this site.
For further MST information, go to their site at: Friends of the Mountains to Sea Trail.
NOTE: The official MST in this area begins at Pleasant Green Road. If you are interested in starting further north and west of this trailhead, you can combine the Cox Mountain Area trails with the Cox Mtn to Pleasant Green Rd. Bushwhack route. I have a full description of a 3-day, 2-night backpacking trip that covers all these areas on the Grand Eno River Trail page.
